RISE is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming cooking practices in Madagascar by promoting electric cooking (e-cooking) solutions. Its mission is to reduce the reliance on firewood and charcoal, particularly in remote and underserved communities where traditional cooking methods contribute significantly to deforestation and environmental degradation.
Beyond technological deployment, capacity building is a central pillar of RISE’s approach. Women, who are the primary users of these cooking technologies, receive training on environmental awareness, sustainable energy use, and the importance of the energy transition. Children are also sensitized to these topics to encourage long-term behavioral change within communities.
